How's this different from the previous diablo though? I personally cruised through normal and nightmare, and the game only started to get fun in Hell difficulty. Diablo is not for everyone, you either hate it or love it, but I see so many people complain about things that was already known before the game even released, why even bother buying the game then?
That wasn't the point I was making. My point is that the game took forever to finish, Diablo 2 was done in a much shorter space of time and they delivered in terms of a good quality game with an acceptable game length.
Diablo 3 was hyped to hell and back again (no pun intended). The stuff they spoke about at their panels about how randomised the world would be etc. was totally off base compared to the product delivered in the end.
Look it's a great game and I don't regret buying it. In the end though it was a massive disappointment in that it was just a good game (compared to other titles). It's just retarded to hype a game up as much as they did and then take forever and a day to actually finish it, only to deliver a "good" game. Where did all that time go to? That's the question on my mind, can we expect Blizzard from now on to take 3 times longer to make a game of the same quality that other developers are releasing?
I'm Mr Blizzard fanboy himself but even I have to admit that there is no correlation between the time taken to finish their games and the overall quality of product anymore. The reason is obviously that WoW is their cash cow at the moment and they have shareholders to pay, it's still disappointing to a fan of great games.
