MYADSL being blocked on Telkom 5102G Router

Hi All

I wonder if any of you have noticed the following.

Yesterday after a 7 Month waiting period Telkom finally installed our business ADSL line.

I took one of the Telkom ADSL 5102G routers and connected to the internet. All good and well, opened a few pages to test speed since it is a 1024 line. Now for the weird part!

I opened my browser and typed www.myadsl.co.za and the site was blocked. Could not access it. Then I thought that MyAdsl was down! But on my server I could access MYADSL over our Diginet. Huh, so I tried again browsed other sites and they where fine!

Why could I not access MyADSl over the telkom router? Other routers worked fine!

Is telkom somehow blocking MyAdsl over its new router? On the 5102G there is no wat to disable the NAT Firewall. So I could not see if this was the cause of the refused entry into MYAdsl.

Have any of you had this problem?

Regards

Nictron

chances are telkom routings on the blink. give it a day or so, if you still cant access, then look for something fishy.

Try going Start > Run > CMD and press enter & then type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter.. then try myadsl again?

Well I think the conspiracy theory is obvious here...

Telkom dont want people going to a site which gives them bad review, so block it on their routers. the people stupid enough to buy their routers are the types that should never be converted.

If that's the case, I'm quite offended that Hellkom is still accessible! :D

Hi guys

I have also received reports that MyADSL could not be accessed last night, but that these people could visit other sites on the Verizon network... Very strange indeed...

Ok flushed DNS and can access MyAdsl now.

Darn I was looking forward sending this to ICASA, competition tribunal and any other legal entities to kick them in the butt.

Darn!

Thanks for the help.
