MYADSL Clout

As somebody that relatively new to the whole broadband internet experience, including forum's etc... It amazes me how much clout the MYADSL forum acctually has, i haven't even been able to get the helpdesk to respond to my emails never mind get a statement from the CEO.

The "pay-per-byte" stories already on the main site. I'm very impressed.

Just a view from a "newbie" :D

I had a personal call from the WBS CEO 2 months ago, after I send him personal email, exlaining to him some stuff about being ISP etc, well believe me if you talk to the walls at your house you will have more success than talking to the WBS CEO !!! He is obviously one of those extreeme stupid people that should be croping bananas or something, not be a CEOs, but you know how things work in SA ...

If I write a book, there is no need for someone to play me in the film, what film?!

I don't know what you talking about, but if it is about my experience with iBurst, I definitely can write a book! If I had enough money that I have not worked for (like many CEOs in this country have), I would have paid enough money to all media to let people know the truth abut WBS, so they go bankrupt in a few weeks! Unfortunatelly I earn my money with work, so I can't afford that ... very sad

Stop waisting your time trying to e-mail them you'll get reply maybe in 3 days to 1 week or you'll never get response try get the CEO on his mobile cellphone if he has the balls to answer it..

Hi Rustic

You are quite correct. I don’t think our members always appreciate how much their word counts. In nearly all my meetings with the broadband players & journalists they quote posts from you guys. A good example is todays story: I had trouble to get feedback from WBS, but soon after the forum rants I received 4 calls from the CEO downwards. It is also common knowledge that all the other players religiously read MyADSL. This is logical since we are their customers and provide them with accurate feedback regarding the service, what we would like to see etc. Why pay Markinor a million bucks when you can read MyADSL and get it for free?

Well Said RPM, i even see that MyBroadband/MyADSL is listed in the Google adwards... A nice way to get more exposure to this lovely forum website :)..
Even my Uncle from Spain is reading he asked me if iBURST is Black Empowerment company. I said yes.

As a consumer, it's nice to know that there are avenues that we can use to exert a little pressure when the needs arises. Fantastic stuff!! :D
