Morning gents

I killed my other char, way to slow.
So started a new one which I currently like, did hit the 50 level.

This is the most accurate description I found on PoE forum. Not expensive but later perhaps I need a new Body armour?

I have with this char so far 72% crit, need to work some more to get Quill Rain bow to work to have same crit chance.
Insane damage currently.
I will take it from here. The smart thing with this build I don't need a 6-link it. My Tabla Rasa has all the skill gems, linked.:D

Wow using this setup Quill Rain bow, makes a big difference. Switched over last night.
Clearing speed is amazing, battle at times with single targets. I just ignore them and move on. :D

Day two so close doing Merciless, need to do act 3. Then the fun starts.
Found my first map this morning called Pit.:D

New patch is out, size I don't know?

Morning

I need some info, replies would be welcome.
I have the following gems I use. How to proc them.
1) Barrage
2) EK
3) Spark

They all have the 6 link gem as follow:
Barrage+Cast on Crit strike support+EK+Spark+Pierce+Inc Crit strike support.
Running following Auras: Anger and HoT.
I also have Frenzy+Assinsmark+...... etc.

My Critical strike is 80% plus.

Not very familiar with CoC but from what I know when I looked at playing one, you would attack with Barrage, and when the attack crits it casts the supported spells linked to it. So it is important to make sure you have a high attack crit chance and not just spell crit chance. With every attack crit from barrage it should then cast EK and spark.

What Furpile said. You may have a really high spell crit chance and lowish attack crit chance if you are not proccing enough.

Basically you just crit with an attack and the spells all get triggered. All of them will get triggered on each proc. They get triggered in the order that they appear in your six link, flowing from top to bottom. But for all intents and purposes, it will appear instant to you.

Can someone have a look at this link: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1621031/page/1

I'm missing the last two icons on the far right hand side of pic. Does anybody know the meaning of those Icons.
First icon Ice Golem,HoT,Anger,Ice Golem, ?, ?

For Barrage it is currently 82% Crit. Same for other 3 support gems.

Okay then explain what your problem is? Are you not getting ANY spells triggered at all, or is it just lower than you thought it would be?

If I click on Barrage icon on Character screen I see those numbers. I will make some screens shoots and post them.

When I play the game I see Barrage fires with white lines.
EK looks like green blades when active.
Spark, sparks moving around screen.

Skill gems not active all the times at the same time.
I know when HoI procs everyone explodes into ice.

Oh okay. Well from the wiki:
The chance to trigger is rolled separately for each enemy that received a critical strike, so it is possible to get multiple casts on one skill use if multiple enemies get hit.

In case of multiple spells linked to one attack skill this support will roll its chance to cast for each spell separately, so it's possible to cast either one of them, both, or none.

So each spell has an individual chance to roll on each CRIT that you do with Barrage. So sometimes you will have multiple sparks firing off in succession, without any EKs proccing at all.

What influences the roll chance whether the support spell will be cast?

Also, with crit, you have an 82% chance to crit, then they roll that same value again to see if the crit lands? So it is 0,82*0,82= 67% of your attacks will end up as a crit, if I understand correctly. If you could bump the crit chance to 90% you would end up with 81% of your attacks ending up as a crit.

Monster evasion determines if you hit or not. Then a second roll takes place to determine if you crit or not. Accuracy helps in this area. You need max chance to hit and as much crit chance as possible.

It's the accuracy that is checked twice, not the crit chance. It needs to be checked twice for the spell to also crit, otherwise you can still cast the spell but it won't be a crit.

CoC says, supported attacks have a x% chance to cast supported spells on crit. So it is that X% that is rolled each time for each spell.
