See have achieved so far 7 points towards challenge.

The 500 kills for Essen's is completed.

Did also a loot of upgrades towards this.
Works on the same principle 3 maps to one next level maps or Essen's.

As far as I am aware there are experience penalties that prevent that if your character level it too different from the map/zone you are in. What they may be referring to is simply having someone of a high level go through the campaign with you.

So the way this is done in PoE is by having a party with a group of 6 people:

1. everyone except you keeps opening up new instances
2. you solo clear each instance (the modifier for number of people is applied to the instance due to step 1)
3. you gain more xp for solo clear an instance with a full group multiplier

You should not run maps/areas with someone more than 2 levels higher than you if the goal is leveling. You will receive less xp/hour, as the high level character will take more. There is a whole discussion on this on the wiki with the calculations etc.

There was youtube videos on this, where someone went 0 - 90 in like 4 hours or something provided that you have all the required leveling gear, and dedicated team mates

Ok did my second Labyrinth run yesterday for Cruel. So now I have two under the belt.
Working on getting extra skill point to get rid of my negative movement speed (-9).

I also received a Quicksilver Flask with extra speed (Called Adrenaline). This was for the Medicine chest quest in Merciless. This is a nice one.
No running in Merciless Act2. Not much to do here Need to do Trial in Crypt still.
Received my +1 Endurance charge for helping Oak.

Created my tabs for 2 Chaos part. All gear I pick up is over level 60 currently.

Yes, it does, but hence why you need leveling items already laid out.

Ok did my second Labyrinth run yesterday for Cruel. So now I have two under the belt.

I think I'm going to drop some ES nodes on my planned tree and mission on over to get the templar AoE nodes instead. Worst case I reckon I'll use the campaign respec nodes if I need more ES later on but I'm hoping I can rather make that up with better and better gear.

And yesterday I was thinking of uniques I'd want long term... 6L cospris with 4x blue sockets... Vorici calc says 3800 chromes average... ya, really long term

Could be some gearing issues. Slowly creeping up on skill tree were gearing does not give penalties anymore.
This is why Labyrinth is a mission for me. Need to leap jump a lot.

Had same issues with Shav's body armour. Used that time 1300 Chromes. Two leagues back.

What skill are you playing at the moment? Are you ES based, because how would you spec into Cospri's Will then

BV - I had a brief idea of easy curses + free poison. And ES I can get with lots and lots and lots of ES everywhere else. So with decent rolls I calculated I could still have 7500ES.
Did I mention this is really long term yet? And I'm not really aiming for it since the cost is so high, just a pie in the sky idea

I am not doing too badly on essence, I have only done normal lab so far.

Level - 60 something
Life - 2.8k
Resist are 50,75,75,-60
7 Endurance charges
7% life regen
3% life leech
Armor - 3.8k

I stopped using my axe of awesome leveling damage and switched to that new sword Kondo's Pride or something,

Heading to Dominus Merciless tonight


Leveling plan from now on is to get to mapping, I need a 5l/6l to up my damage, grab the remaining life nodes, and finish my sword cluster. Find a better exquisite rare, attempt to faceroll and try to get that new body armor which is 4k armor.

I also want that new starforge sword.

Did you watch the youtube video of that guy - the shaper hit him for like 13000 damage however he was using ES, so it might be phys damage. I am not sure I will be able to get it, and in standard that sword is going for like 100Ex someone mentioned.

Haven't watched anthying Shaper related, currently feel like I want to keep the mystery alive. That'll likely change in about a week or two.
But 13k... that sucks, I'm hoping to hit about 9-10k ES only. And the only phys mitigation I'll have in boss fights is fortify. But surely that attack is avoidable?

Question time

Once you start with maps. Do you need to continue to get progress in the map tree.
What if you stop for some reason, do you need to start all over again.

If you have done maps and completed them are they then something of the past?
Or do you need to start them all over again?
