I'm in Italy for a few days and its baking at 34°c, kinda looking forward to going back to a milder Irish summer. Enjoying the blue sky though.
I live in the South. It's been amazing weather down here for the last two months. today is a scorcher though so only going to take the dog for their normal afternoon walk when it cools a little.

Switched my dog walks to 6am and 10pm. Bonus is the quiet as well as the cooler temps

I've just sent a video to some mates in SA, if I could right now there'd be a potjie bubbling away on top of an old well outside my cottage with some music on and drinks flowing. Absolutely incredible weather at the moment!

Weather a couple of weeks ago was still decent: high teens, low 20’s. And then it suddenly went all “HAHA DIE!”.
I’m Capetonian, I can do dry heat all day. But this muggy ****? Screw it.

Agreed. I've always maintained that in summer the temperature feels a few degrees warmer than it would in SA.
That's from having lived in Cape Town and JHB - the Durbanites are probably still wearing their scarves!

How are the queues there? Not too keen to sit around waiting more than eating
I waited for about a hour but it's not bad I sat in the garden waiting, they give you one of buzz things when for when it's your turn.
So you can walk around the tent have a beer while you wait so it's not a bad experience.
