Not really much competition in this. I'm happy to say that I once won a competition on here, and it was based on the merit of a photograph rather than the 'random' draw thing.

I meant so say that its great that they are giving away prizes. I agree that its not a competition based on merit in the traditional sense (at least by its own rules).

Whether or not the winners were actually determined by random draw remains the subject of speculation. I think we can all agree that the more active and constructive users (often with a high post count) tend to win often. And I'm just fine with that to be honest.

Anyway, I've won a few of these competitions myself and obviously it is nice to receive something. So thanks to myBB for continuing to run these giveaways.

So every one assumed that the 8k will go to one person. I think it is great that it was split. There are a lot more regulars on here. Take fanie.dry - he posts on average 50 posts per day. A lot of people hanging out on TK. The competition would never have been judged on the number of entries in the thread. I don't know where anyone got that idea from.

That's fine, it's MyBB prerogative to reward members I don't care about that. When I saw who won though it became quite clear that this wasn't a competition.
