When I saw the image, I knew that it was not a TTL image, but still absolutely great nontheless.
I know from experience that a CPL or even two controlled linear polarizers cannot achieve such a darkened sky without negatively affecting the foreground.
$m@Rt@$$ makes a valid point, in that "what the camera saw" should not be overshadowed by other technical skills, at least not in a thread directed at a broad spectrum of photographers, where most are probably using less-than-optimal equipment.
Maybe I've too little time to play extensively with PSP or Adobe and manipulate images.
Oddly, I'll spend hours doing everything Through The Lens.

I like what I see in your image, and even with PP, it's a thought provoking piece of work.
