I highly doubt they will.

Which means SAA gonna get burned most epicly. Hope they don't get any bailouts this time as well from Pravin.

Wait, they may as well move some $ASSETS (pension funds scheme etc) over to SAA... >.< desperation knows no bounds.

She might be in for a hard time running it into the ground since the board selected by the treasury and their CV is impressive.

President Zuma might have stomped his feet and insisted that the disastrous Myeni remain chair, but she will be surrounded by a strong and credible team of business experts who are unlikely to be malleable or take any, um, crap.

El Stupido move.

SAA gonna lose badly.

No, unfortunately they will not. They will now get their government guarantees released. They will, at least, now for the next 3 years get unlimited bailouts from government.

What South Africa urgently needs is a credit downgrade to junk to save itself in the long run from the ANC.

Dude, you need to stop with the doom and gloom wishes...

The board of SAA has a good few people in it who are in place to reign Dudu in....

Yes they will struggle if Dudu is allowed a hand in the day to day running, but if the board can reign her in to some degree it will give them a fighting chance of at least getting nearer break even.

Or maybe it was a crafty move by Parly in order to get Dudu to resign without getting any of the golden handshake nonsense.

I am very glad for you that you see some positive things in these days. Wish everyone could be like that. Unfortunately, I do not and I will probably never be like someone who does. Call me a realist or whatever you want.

That being said, I remember with my previous employer, a minister one day had a meeting and informed the CEO that they need to embark on a mission to promote only 'good news' in the workplace. The minister gave a recommendation that employees who continue with negative speaking against the ANC should be fired. The employer would have full government backing if such employee ever decides to take legal actions. This seems to be widespread now and probably how many people are being influenced.

I've actually worked with one of the new non-executive board members.

Very impressive person, overly competent and great integrity, I don't think he would compromise with JZ's tricks and rather think that he's there in order to be a close eye for National Treasury. He has no political affiliations as far as I know.

If the remaining new board members really are all aligned with National Treasury, what would king Zumatello do if they voted in favour of taking Myeni's chair away?

At the very least they should make her stand in the corner of the room wearing a paper dunce hat or a cardboard sign hanging around her neck that says she is unemployed.
