MYN B683 giving me grey hair

I am sitting with a B683 that has full reception according to the "bars" and the following stats

Now for a while my connection works great for a short while then suddenly there is no throughput , I then need to reboot the rooter then it would work again for a while ( router is like 2 months old )
I have reset it back to factory default thinking I must have changed whatever little option there is to change
I also cant seem to download the viva firmware update .. I keeps on stopping at 1 or 2 MB

ANY help or alternative mirror would be appreciated

A silly question maybe, but have you tried comparing your problem to the data connection on your phone? Can you put the SIM from the router into a phone or 3G dongle and test it in a computer to see if it's a network problem? Otherwise it may be a hardware problem.

can do , just not at home , no reception without decent antenna

A silly question perhaps, but have you set the antenna from inner to outer on the dashboard and forced to 3G only as yet?

The RSCP and RSSI look rather high.

I have the same router and when my stats look like that the connection goes to hell.

What kind of external antenna do you have?
Which network are you on?

I am on MTN with a Poynting LPDA-0092

Its working although I just had to reset the modem twice in the last two hours . That is why I want to upgrade the firmware but the download keeps on failing

Use a download manager with auto resume, you should get the file without problems

You're not perhaps in Nelspruit? Im sitting with the same problem. An Ookla test shows that I can download, but the upload speed is dead. I have the same router with the same antenna.
