So he is hiding nothing then?if there is nothing to hide, why is he hiding it?

If it was hiding it the house would not have been mentioned at all, not even as a rental expense. I ask again, what benefit is there to him over declaring his assets?
If you tell sars you earned R10mil in 2018 instead of R1mil what is sars gonna do to you and what benefit do you reap from it? Only thing that's gonna happen is sars is gonna tax you more and they sure as hell ain't gonna come after you for getting it wrong, if you underdeclared there would be a benefit to you and sars will nail your ass.
I have a lovely bridge to sell you, can we meet in the back alley behind the pub at midnight? Because that is how naive you are pretending to be.

So glad you recognise that the possibility of this being an accidental mistake is a fairytale.I've a nice fairytale for you
MMusi conceded to the fact that he had no idea that, as a Member of Parliament, it was not necessary to declare rental property as an asset.
Rental property CAN be an asset.WOW, he thinks a rental property is an asset
This one has potential as a leaders in our beautiful county![]()
And that's the reason why he should keep it very transparent - after all, one of the selling points for his party is "not corrupt like the ANC".Or maybe it's a freebie and he isn't paying rent. Thus could be viewed as a "bribe" or undue influence over him.

Right now I'll accept it as per the news article headline, it's a "mystery" and lets hope we hear a legit explanation.
Rental property CAN be an asset.
You on the other hand believes that "62% of the country voted for the ANC"
...the irony
Ok so ask yourself this - why would he lie? People lie to hide stuff. So here are two lies - the lie he owns it, and the lie about how much rent he is paying - a lie the owner is also complicit in because all of them are being squirrelly about it - why compound a lie with another lie if there is nothing to hide?
Maybe he lied about owning to avoid being asked questions about renting it - because when asked about owning it i.e. the first lie was uncovered, he went all defensive about the rent. Maybe he isn't paying any rent at all ... still got no problem with that?
Mmusi has round about a year and half left on his current term. Seems moves are starting to be madeA mysterious turn of events indeed.
Todays Cape Times has an article where they mention that this news might have been leaked from within the party to damage him. So looks like something is definitely not kosher here.
This is the problem when one takes the moral high ground in politics - your own ass better be clean enough to eat off...
Factions within the DA.
As much as I like Mmusi, I'd prefer he keep everything above board and transparent. As much as I dislike ol Mmusi this is pretty much a storm in a tea cup.
