MyWireless Classic Cancellation Confusion

Sentech conitnues TESTICULATING.

They can't disclose the numbers for reason that no one in a sain mind would continue with that unreasonably strucured offering.

Sentech must close down and stop waisting Tax Payers money on unsound business practicsing.

Has anyone actually received "Written Notification of Cancellation" as per the contract?

Finally

Yeah well I actually phoned them up after I got the call and asked
how I could cancel my subscription, they sent me a form , filled it in and faxed it to them on 13 Sept .... a week before the end of Sept I phoned and asked for confirmation if the cancellation will be at the end of Sept and the help desk said yeah sure because the call ticket was closed ... ha ... I contacted my bank and had a stop order put in place ... Sunday came and hey guess what I was still connected ... Monday came ... and oh no ... still connected.... phoned them up on monday morning no joy they where trying to figure out why i'm still connected and they would get back to me .. then 4:00pm phoned them again and then hey the guy comes with the 30 day notice crap ... and I said bull dust they where in breach of the contract and anyways when they accepted my cancellation they assured me they would fast track it ... then I phoned the Mywireless campaign .. a woman helped me and hey 5 min later she phones me and puts me through to Carlos and the next morning Tuesday he phoned me to tell me all has been cancelled and I got an e-mail to confirm this from Carlos as well .. btw they did not want to give me any managers names or even the MD's phone no after I mentioned something of throttle some one personally .. but finally I’m disconnected … eesh .. and the worst is it won’t even effect them by losing customers like this because they are government owned

Note: I haven't been following the whole Classic cancellation thing, but...

 surely Sentech's cancellation of its MyWi Classic services, means that none of its existing [or more appropriately former] Classic customers actually need to give a calendar month's notice to cancel an already cancelled [by Sentech] service???

Furthermore I doubt that Sentech has a provision in its MyWi Classic terms of service contract(s) to automatically migrate existing MyWi Classic customers to a substantially different MyWi Flexi service...

And surely continuing to debit former MyWi Classic customers for an already cancelled [as of 2006-09-30?] service, is effectively fraud?

Maybe Sentech should face facts and give up on broadband. With the mis-management of their current offerings to the few customers they have, it's best to stick to television broadcasting and leave internet access to other players. Even WHEN / IF government gives them funding to rollout a nationwide coverage for wireless access, they most likely will not be successful because they seem to lack the understanding of what the customer wants and especially how to operate such services. Only a miracle (ie. CHEAP fees for FAST connections with LARGE data-bundles AND efficient service delivery) will turn Sentech's bad rep around wrt broadband.

There is a fair amount of irony here: Sentech's MyWi Classic service arguably had the biggest data usage allocation [bit cap] for a very long time, whereas MyWi Flexi is basically microscopic in comparison - IOW the higher data usage allocation on MyWi Classic was a good enough reason to seriously consider Sentech for 'broadband', and yet Sentech managed to screw that up - royally!!!

At least Sentech have provided Business School Lecturers with a classic "How not to run a business" exercise.

Ic, that just proves my point that NO ONE in this country has any idea of what the consumer wants and what to offer and what makes money and what not. Can't wait to say goodbye to Sentech.
Sentech conitnues TESTICULATING.
From urbandictionary.com
testiculating:
Waving your arms around and talking total bollocks. Ideal for use when managers/advertising types/tv producers start spiralling out of control.
Stop testiculating and give me a straight answer, if you can.

Fortunately i paid via internet banking, so they've not rxed payment
but i did notice mailbox still active so probably account still active
i am happy with iBurst so far, have actually seen the 1Mb/s
in the ~4yrs i was with sentech never saw promised 256kb/s

Final good bye Sentech

Well Chaps,

It took 12 days to procure an ADSL line form Helkom. Self instalation option. 512 line, still shopping around for good bandwith deal. For now on WebAfrica prepaid.
Posibly looking on using the HelkomInternet due tot eh laxed CAP.

All I have to say .. is the ADSL rocks ass!!!!! The responsivnes and speed are just not comperable to ANY wireless pack. So for all of ya unwired bunnies, swallow pride and get a wire (untill wimax perhaps).

Spred the word falks, SENTECH is dead.
I called the Accounts depratmant at Sentech to make shore they dont even DARE touching any of my moneys for next month. All staf is new!!! and they confirmed majority of customers are going away, but alegedly some are coming back "Becouse they can't get ADSL line quckly enough". Well with some persitance and luck you all can get it fast!!!!! So try and split from the Sentech leeches.

Good luck fellows, GOOD BYE Sentech, I will pray that you dont screw up the contracts you will be awarded for 2010, but given ur record you just might..

Seems Sentech customers haven't heard of IBurst, can get it in less than 48 hours and they have more coverage than Sentech. Sentech can not even begin to compare with IBurst.

I actually pray that they do, then the whole world can see what we have to put up with all day long, every day of the year, every year.
