Mmmm I have been sending e-mails to sentech/mywireless/just connect about the issues i have been haveing each day for the past week (the same e-mail each day 7 days running) without any reply.

When i phone Mywireless the lady answered but couldnt take my call cause the pc she uses to log calls is broken ......ahaha how ironic is that seems every in that company is broken even the already bad service. (so i didnt even try to log a call since she wanted to put it on paper and we all know whats going to happen with that piece of paper.)

I got a Intresting e-mail the other day from my service provider that goes like this:

Dear Charl

I do sympathise with your situation and I agree it is totally unacceptable.
I wish I could tell you that I thought that by telling Sentech support your
tale of woe that you would be assisted but unfortunately I doubt this will
happen. We have over 700 customers on MyWireless and in the past 4 months
we have been losing these customers left and right to other services due to
the poor performance of MyWireless. I can suggest only 1 solution and that
is to move away from their service. We have been fighting with Sentech and
NoWire for a long time now to try to get a resolution on this and to try to
get our customers a decent service but with little success. Fortunately we
have a solution.

Many of our clients have moved over to using IBurst. I have attached a
price list for your attention on this. This service is much faster, more
reliable and with superior support. I can happily recommend this solution
to you as an alternative to MyWireless. We are able to send one of our
agents over to see you to demonstrate the product and test signal etc. If
you would like to go ahead with this solution, please let me know.

Should you have any further queries, please let me know. I hope we can
assist you on this matter.

King regards

Well this at least looks great for Iburst, except that now the performance on Iburst could drop in some areas with such a big take up in the developed (in terms of wireless) areas. At least Iburst are rolling out new ones all the time to try counter over-saturation.

If I got as bas a service as that I would also have moved by now, especially the support.
Hope you are going to ADSL or Iburst man..

Iburst

Like you a also got the disease called Sentech, let me explain, it is a disease because you get it for 24 months without any cure, not even retro-virus medicine. You feel awfull all the time, sometimes you cant even work because the disease puts you out or doesnt allow to work at all, sometimes, for hours in a day. It's worse then the flu. Even if you try to take some other medicine, it is resistant and leaves you without an imune system. It doesnt allow you to take other medicines. I am sure that, when the 24 month of incubation of this disease leaves me, i will close myself in a plastic bubble as to not get it again, EVER.

Now, in a less serious tone, i've been hearing about Iburst lately and people saying, "go to iburst, it will solve your problem" and others saying "iburst sucks, they dont even have decent coverage" so, my dilemma persists. Is it viable to move to iburst? are they port shaping? what's the full deal with it? Is ADSL still the best option available? I dont want to be on a waiting list for 6 months without internet.

In summ, what is iburst?

Iburst is .. um Iburst, you could check the next forum down and read about it.

Iburst do shape, but not on the 9 gig package.

Iburst have better coverage than Sentech I think. Im not shure how they dont even have decent coverage is much of an arugment, if they have coverage in your area then check it out. Look on the site for coverage maps.

eheh, yeah.

im really going to check this one through, sentech, it seems, has it's days numbered...unless they come up with something amazing (lol).

iBurst.. Are they not worse than Telkom? Even lower caps at higher prices.

Updated my little sad log of disconnects seems to be getting worse and worse and the support line isnt anwering any of my calls the trouble ticket number is also useless and the empty promises that are made never happens
