N81 8GB and N95 8GB

Hey guys,

These phones have now been released in the USA. Any updates on when we can expect them here?

I am up for an upgrade very soon (and my phone is starting to die on me in a serious way) but I really wanna try hold out for one of these beautiful machines...

Any ideas?

On the nokia website for South africa and africa, www.nokia.co.za it shows the phone as being available locally. Will take some time for the service providers to get them.

BUT it nicely says 8Gb on the phone but on the memory side it only has 6Gb

Well, I went into the vodacom shop the other day and they said they had all the new Q4 handsets and the N81 and N95 8gb, were not among them. I guess that means Q1.

I wonder what vodacom's policy is on renewing your contract if the handset you want has not arrived yet....

I got my N95 when it just came out in RSA, on the MTN business contract... and when I do my math, the phones price ends up to be around R10000! So.... R8000 aint that bad

The new firmware to manage the 8GB is 2GB larger than the original due to complexities
