n82 usb connection issue

my nokia n82 wont connect to usb. i try to do file transfering but when i plug it in nothing happens. then when i pull it out it says that i did not remove properly. any help would rock. thanks in advance

have you tried a new cable? maybe a software issue. try update... typical of a N-series to do something like that
