Wich phone do you think is the best, the Nokia N91 or the Sony Ericsson W900?
N91 info here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n91-1154.php
W900 info here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_w900-1325.php

I think technically the N91 is the better phone with the 4GB HDD and USB 2
but the W900 is very nice looking phone.

I wanted to put in a poll, even checked out the FAQ which informed me that I may have the option to add one.Well I may have overlooked the poll button, if I did can someone plz let me know where to find it?

I would also go for the N91 , but thats because Nokia is the only one that has EDGE and 3G all the other phones just has one ot the other.

I have a SE so I am not being biased here, the W900 is fricken huge man. when you swivel that phone to type in a phone number or text, you will be knocking out passers buys. It's almost as long as my arm. The nokia might not have the awesome interface that SE has, but for features, I am sure the Nokia wins hands down.

4 gigs of storage - come on ;) Was there ever really a contest?

BTW I think the N91 also looks better than the W900

I'd go for the N91, but there's also a W910 or something like that which has Symbian and runs the UIQ interface and also has 4GB of storage, but I dont know if it's availible yet

EDIT: Its the W950 I was thinking about, but acording to symbian.com it isnt out yet, http://www.symbian.com/phones/se_w950.html

W900 is on backorder from SE. They do not know why.

Vodacom told me there's a software issue at the factory and at the moment production is halted.

The Nokia N70 is suffering a similar fate due to a bug in the gallery that crashes the OS... am still waiting for mine

Software issue on the W900i my @rse. The W900i is a flippen great phone. I have one, and thought I'd only keep it till the W950i is out, but I can promise you this. Its a keeper. untill it fall apart or gets stolen (more likely to happend).

The N70 has a problem with the bluetooth as well. **** phone that is.....

If you were looking to buy new, I'll also say get the nokia, since you won't get a new w900i. They are discontinued due to the fact that the Phone was something like a limited eddition, and also the test for the nvidia 3d accelerator. (That is in fact why we w900i users get to record movies that play back fullscreen at 30 fps).

If you are looking to buy second hand, get W900i.

I'd wait 'till the W950i comes out, and buy that one. It does not have a hdd, but it does have 4gig dinamic storage. That means that you are alowed to drop it by accidend, and it'll still work. Dropping a N91 is like dropping an Ipod that is buffering music. FLINTERS!!

Just a couple more months to wait......

I have a W900i - found a brand new one at MTN (Northgate) about two weeks ago.

The massive 240x320 screen, the reason why it so large, is a huge advantage and it's very bright. Some reviews I've read they said thats it's possibly the best screen on the market ATM.

The camera is awesome. Auto focus, auto light apeture/flash, works almost like a normal camera (tilts phone on side and view screen becomes 320x240), buttons are then on top and has the focus hold double press system. (1/2 press holds focus, full press takes image) Photo's are up to 1632x1224 and comparable to a dedicated camera. Phone comes with 470mb onboard, but you can get sony memory stick duo's up to 4gig.

Build quality is surpisingly good; nice and sturdy. Also the swivel feels very solid.

If you can get one of these, you'd be very lucky.

EDIT: If you comparing dimensions it seems the N91 is larger:
N91: 113.1 x 55.2 x 22 mm
W900i: 109 x 49 x 24 mm
I assume both with folded/closed keypads.

I don't think the W900 is available here only the w900i, which comes with 3G.

Yes correct, and I do have to admit that this is possibly the best phone I ever had, but, if you only think about getting either the n91, or the W900i, and you want to get a new one, you'll have only one choice, since they are already discontinued, and there was a moer of a waiting list on it.

Still, if I had to choose between 2 second hand phones, the se will win hands down. Twice.

The W900i I have is the 9th SE, and that is out of 28 phones. (A bit loskop, as well as a bit rof), and the next one will probably be a SE as well.

Great phones these ones from SE!!!!

<edit>Correct me if Im wrong, but as far as I know, The i in W900i is just to where the phone was released. Like in china will have something else at the end etc. So when you email SE, you say you have a W900i, and they know that this phone was in fact released for Africa, and not bought in Dubai and then imported etc....
