N95 8Gb and GPS

In the following review on GSM Arena (http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n95_8gb-review-188.php) it states that one of the disadvantages of the phone is the "Below average GPS performance, no 3rd party apps support"

Can anyone confirm if this means you cannot use route66 etc on this phone?
