all phones sold in south africa are unlocked, AFAIK it's illegal to sell locked phones

the only concern wrt getting one from vodacom, would be the vodafone firmware.

yeah. i dont mind the firmware as that can be changed. i just dont want to wait another 2 months for the phone. where did you see the adverts eagle-slayor?

and sabc 3 a lot.. those ad's saying 'its about to begin' are for the 8GB one

Vodacom have released the phone we get our on Wednesday try Vodashop or Vodacom 4u stores........

I saw one on the new pricelist at MTNSP

R309 per month on Procall 120 with a R2199 Pay-In.

Yes - but I phoned voda upgrades and the Vodashop at the Glen who told me that the phone was not on their "list" and were only expecting it to arrive mid-december early january

Phone them and tell them to check again.

Something I noticed with the call centres and stores is that if a phone like this is coming soon they get asked about it 2 months before its released, then they develop a subconscious line that the phone "is in trsting" or "Nokio cant supply" etc etc and even when the phone is available they still use the same lines.... sad really.

maybe N95-8GB, think of all the pics and vids you'll be able to capture of your holiday... hell man, I so wanted the K850i to be better than the Nokia's but it seems it might only be better in the reliability stakes and that might not be enough... the competition will be in big trouble when Nokia decides to build reliable handsets...

The problem is SE is worrying about price... maybe they have to coz the brand is not as big as Nokio.

One things for sure with the amount of people buying N95s, price does not matter to them!!

And the N95 video recording is WOW
