Often spoken about, often ignored, however I dropped my N95 (in its Krussel leather pouch) onto a carpeted floor from the height of normal chair < 45 cm (it uncliped itself off my belt as I was seated). Thinking nothing of it I put it on the table and carried on with my meeting. After the meeting I used it in the vehicle with a bluetooth car kit. Getting out of the car I took an incomming call without the car kit and I could hear nothing, the ear piece was dead. Not wanting to spend a week without my N95, this morning armed with a T5 torx screwdriver and the N95 Level 1 / 2 sevice manual I removed the front bezel and found one of the spring clips on the ear piece had bent to such an angle that it could not make contact with the pad on the PCB. After resetting the clip and re-assembly it seems fine now, however its a little concerning that such a small drop could cause the ear piece to stop working. My 6680 had far worse treatment and never saw a day in the workshop.

Moral of the story, don't drop, throw or otherwise mistreat your N95!

Well, I have always been a SE fan. My N95 is my first Nokia in a long time, and while I do agree that the build quality isn't up to scratch, the features make it worth while.
Note: I've said it before, and I'll say it again... The P990i looks like a mutt :D

At the risk of meeting with Piesang's wrath!

I just received my two N95's, just started the one and by Jove my first impressions was, this feels a little "how may I put it" Cramped, flimsy but definitely NOT ROBUST like the P910I. Even the memory card, small and tiny, entry looks suspect and not to talk about the flimsy Sim card clip holder. I must admit I have not the smallest of hands and fingers.

Will take a short while to get used to. Must first work through Manual.

Also all the keystrokes, damn The touch screen versions are so much more effective. Anyway Nice camera. Colors seem a bit strong or maybe my eyes is just fading in normal life.

Do not yet get any GPS lock or signal? must later look into it.

Where did Piesang get those strong boxes/cases for the N95 again? I will definitely need two!

Anyone know of cost effective car kits, The fixed install types.

PS: I am concerned at how close the beauty of a screen is to the overall phone surface. Slightest mishap and I see a screen crack!
