Sign up with GoogleOften spoken about, often ignored, however I dropped my N95 (in its Krussel leather pouch) onto a carpeted floor from the height of normal chair < 45 cm (it uncliped itself off my belt as I was seated). Thinking nothing of it I put it on the table and carried on with my meeting. After the meeting I used it in the vehicle with a bluetooth car kit. Getting out of the car I took an incomming call without the car kit and I could hear nothing, the ear piece was dead. Not wanting to spend a week without my N95, this morning armed with a T5 torx screwdriver and the N95 Level 1 / 2 sevice manual I removed the front bezel and found one of the spring clips on the ear piece had bent to such an angle that it could not make contact with the pad on the PCB. After resetting the clip and re-assembly it seems fine now, however its a little concerning that such a small drop could cause the ear piece to stop working. My 6680 had far worse treatment and never saw a day in the workshop.
Moral of the story, don't drop, throw or otherwise mistreat your N95!
