I had the exact same problem. And my friend who got his phone 3 days before me didn't have that problem.

The noise when you press on the keys on the slider is really irritating. Would bug me the most when typing sms's and i had to press the "c" key. From your pic i see the gap is more prominent on the left, mine was on the right hand side.

Unfortunately my phone got stolen, so dunno how to help you. But at least you know that other peeps did have the same issue.

Slide problems are very common with the N95 , take a look on the net .Its basically down to poor build quality

Mine was the Plum colour. There was a slight gap, bit not really one that is easily noticeable.

Doubt you gonna get that fixed, might have to just live with it.

This is a problem with almost all devices that have Slide out keyboards. I see guys flicking them open and closed constantly, without even thinking about it. wear and tear

I got the same problem with my slider. I've seen a couple of E65's and 6110 and they are all tight sliders.

Apart from lose slider, I've been impressed with my N95's built quality.

I am sure mine is bigger than Yours! anyway regards the cell gap I have two 95's, the gaps are different. Both slider seems to be too loose and see-saw across for example left top to righ bottom when keys are pressed when closed with a accompanying click/clack feel and noise

I can fit 5 A4 paper into the gap. Thats' about 1mm gap. When pressed, it makes a clicking sound.
