No worries, remember when City Power disconnected Dainfern and Dainfern residents were going to move to solar leaving City Power to live with regrets?

Silver Lakes estate is going to do the same.
heh. Didn't know about Dainfern. Surprising that sometimes rich people are scummy - who would have thought :)

I am pretty sure we must have at least some mybb members from this estate to give us some insider info.

Sure. Many years ago my boss lived there. Evaded TAX, business was liquidated and we were out of work within weeks of the announcement. Loads of “rich” people get up to “scummy” antics. It’s not confined to class.

Might be a account mistake by the city now there is a dispute?

Trying to figure out if he has a smelter at home.. even with a bill as high as 10 000 a month that is a hell of an account to have and still have power.

Right there at the top, looks like the resident has been a very bad boy or girl.

In rates and taxes, electricity arrears, water arrears, a tamper levy, and penalties.

It makes sense that people in secure complexes are caught in these kind of things, security is so tight with a million questions even with a legitimate reason to give some service to some residents, I can only imagine what would happen if you were to pitch there and tell them you were going to cut power or water, no way they would give you smooth access, so the city techs probably don't bother anymore leading to the bills piling up.

Its probably an estate...

Also... I see a tamper levy ? Might mean they reconnected their own supply after being disconnected... or have fiddled with the meter.
The "fee" may well be a massive fine.

Yup. That why I think there is a big move towards pre-paid. They can do the same thing with water, if you don't pay then they reduce your pressure down to a trickle.

Indeed. Ours is secure complex and city officials will probably not be able to get in as the gate access is only activated via the owner's phone and in such cases (mostly dodgy owner), owner would probably refuse the access.

Of course, if there is a city request of installing something, then complex would abide by the rules by giving prior notice. There was some monitoring unit installed in most units in our complex but again, it would be up to owner to grant access to their unit even if officials come inside the complex.

One way to ‘out’ them is to switch off everyone and tell them there is someone with that amount outstanding.

Nothing like a lovely nosey neighbor with too much time on their hands to figure out who the culprit is ..

But that is just me being a petty biatch

Funny that they don't seem to have a caretaker. At my complex the caretaker is responsible for access (Cell2Gate, remotes, NFC tags, etc) and water and electricity connection and disconnection per unit.

We have prepaid water though so the only time they will threaten to disconnect your water is if you haven't paid your municipal accounts (not sure how they know TBH).
