Nice bit of publicity for Nando's and a nice plate of grub for the coppers.

Win-win. Kudos.

Hey kewl

now the 10111 guys won't be taking calls cos their fingers will be sticky...
I imagine there will be those who don't want to go out on the beat and miss out on the grub.
If our government just paid them properly and hired dedicated guys (attracted by decent salaries)...

I know it's not all bad, I'm just raising another point.

So you're concerned people will be endangered because Nando's is giving them vouchers? I'd have thought the cops would have actually partaken in the act of eating long before nando's ever made their generous offer. :)

The only assumption I'm willing to make is any crook that decides to rob a Nando's on New Year's day deserves a Darwin Award.

Lol!

Yes, for some reason I feel compelled to agree with that :)
But I was just considering the temptation to not go out to that call if it meant losing out on your Nando's...

*Hey - check that cop out!! Man - he's lost his Nando's! (Sorry - OT)*
:D

Lol...
Bananarama comes to mind:
"All the cops in the Nandos shops say waay oh waay oh ooh waaay oohh waaay oohhhhhhhhhh........ walk like a chicken...."

Nice gesture on Nando's part, but do they give their own staff a bouns for working New Years day too?

Aside from alleged overtime for public holidays? I say alleged because I have never seen an extra cent (working both here and in the UK) for working on public holidays. Starbucks even sent out a memo saying public holidays were considered normal working days and if you were asked to work, you got an extra half day off..
