Just upgraded my G wifi network to Nanostation series 5ghz band

One of my links seem to have a below average signal 83/84 ( switch worked fine with the 2.4hz g modems )

Encryption Signal / Noise, dBm Frequency, GHz Channel
WPA -85 / -89 5.3 60
WPA2 -81 / -90 5.3 60

on doing site survey, every other scan, the signal is there then its disappears
any suggestions

I tried using different channesl from 40 all the way down to 10
same results

Did you check the polarisation? You can change it in the web frontend.

Hi There,
I did a little bit of googling for you and found a couple of similar posts.
The response in them was to use AirView or Airvision to scan for the best signal on the channels.

Use Chrome to open it as it uses Java is a tip with this tool.

Regards

That signal is vry weak, nanobridges only really function well sub 75's.

Switch your channelwidth to 20/40 Auto and try aligning them again properly. Also enable Airmax with a high Priority this will make the link stable if you are connecting to a Ubiquity AP?

If I were you I would raise the nanobridge at least one meter to try and get into the mid 70's. The signal might be dissapearing as the trees move between your site and the highsite causing scatter.

Alternatively get the 26dBi Nanobridge
