Mythology aside, do you have any opinion of your own with regards to what will happen at the end of 2012?
No idea hey, the solar maximum concerns me slightly.

It has interested me since about 2009 or so. They have no idea what is coming but the consensus on big is pretty uniform.

This takes the cake though
http://www.handpen.com/Bio/sun_freaks.html that is a very good website with some interesting details that would take a while to research.
It does concern me big time actually. We have not been around long enough to know what happened. For all we know it was this kind of event that killed the dinosaurs even though most scientists agree it was an impact of some sort. We shall see though, not far away

. All the myth okes have done is take this event and then tie it into every piece of old drawing or article that is hard to decrypted or could be 2000 different things.
I do however enjoy reading all the theories, i don't believe them but i am looking for signs i must admit LOL. Just interest more than belief i guess.
Although one thing is certain if the solar theory is correct we should see a big increase in earth quakes in the coming months, that is not just a myth thing though.
Russian Scientists now believe that the apparent increase in Solar activity in the Sun directly affects the magnetosphere around the Earth - which when disturbed cause disasters such as Earthquakes, Volcanoes, tsunamis, extreme weather etc.
If the russians are correct this is the kind of event that wiped out the dinosaurs. Imagine the mega volcano's all exploding or just the one in yellow stone. Very scary considering the earthquakes at the moment which granted could be normal but volcano's have also been fairly active which is also normal though so it's hard to tell until they start happening weekly and on a massive scale.
