Is this the technology the Aliens supplied?

You can travel to Mars and back but you don't have a cure for HIV?(or the other deadly diseases) Something doesn't feel right.

Space travel is more exciting than HIV cures i guess :)

NASA are well known for their contributions to HIV cures. Its their core focus.

Sarcasm aside, do you know that less than 5% of 1% of America`s arms buget goes towards funding NASA... dont you think there are better places to look for money instead of one of the more beneficial agencies out there?

Well it was said not long ago that we know more about the moon than our oceans. Could probably tie Mars into that as well pretty soon.

Actually, it's not proven that anyone can travel to Mars and back. Hasnt been done yet... Or are you just trolling?

That's beside the point anyway. Engineers building a space craft can't really find a cure for HIV. It's like telling a photographer to stop taking pictures and rather find a cure for HIV :p As you've pointed out, there are biological researchers at NASA :)

Will they be developing new propulsion for this new craft or will it still rely on the old school rocket fuel? The only way this will be really beneficial is if NASA goes on yet another R&D drive for new tech that will benefit us back here on earth.

Mars - use known calculations and physics laws
HIV - trial and error

They are both trial and error.

No matter the calculations/"laws" When you go out to space and hit mars, a lot of variables change. They could go to Mars and bring back another virus and wipe us out...No matter their calculations, gas masks, anti-gravity guns(lol) etc etc.

The only law that exist in this world is **** HAPPENS.

Jesus...If NaSa is preparing to go to Mars, you would think they would be able to come back soon or later. They can send and receive data, perhaps I should have been more clear for you?

Trolling? My argument is valid. Nasa is overpaid no matter what others tell you, they get much more $$$$ than what they report. Heck, they are humans, they lie too.

Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) : Sounds like something out of a C&C Game to start building your base :-D.

I guess it is time for something new. ye, the old 1960's tech is reliable.. but it just aint fun..Wouldn't it be more exiting during liftoff that a the application that starts those rockets pop's up with a message "our trail period has expired, for lift off you need to buy the license key online. Click here to Buy the Rocket liftoff continue application NOW". or... "Your Version is out of date and must be Updated before continuing. Click Ok to update and reboot the system".
