EFF MP Hlengiwe Mkhaliphi said the party knew there would be a "massive fightback" against expropriation without compensation by "beneficiaries of racism".

...

IFP MP Mkhuleko Hlengwa said his party objected to the haste with which the ANC tabled the motion and said the motion was flawed because of "procedural irregularities".

...

In reference to Mkhaliphi's warning that time was up for white people, he said to the ANC, "when the blood flows, it will be on your hands".
SAHRC, uhm, do you have anything to say or to interfere?

Where are the resident EWC proponents that said EWC wasn't about race and retribution?

If I had the means to I'd leave this country ASAP. Conditions are being created for things to go very badly.

Last time I checked, white people DON'T run the country? 25 years is has been ANC. BEE is pro black people..

These guys are just focusing racism on white people to gain votes. Play the race hate card, and get those votes.

Don't come here with your facts, we want emotional lies only!

You can plant a few mielies and spinach and you'll be able to live forever! Who needs money anyway, it's a western concept and only for the thieves in Government.

All in all, there is only one committee person of a political entity who promotes state ownership, for the constitution to allow expropriation it needs to allow two things as a basic principle,
  • If it is indeed land, only, to be expropriated, it needs to be separately defined from 'property' and needs to become a Property Right and Law of its own.
  • It needs to allow a person to be deprived of their property, hopefully, it will be ‘land’ instead of ‘property’ if it is indeed separately defined.
The rest of the constitution and applicable laws will then need to be amended for compatibility. The DA is trying to push this out to the sixth parliament, through legal means, whereby the report has it to be established by the fifth parliament. If this is to be legally challenged, they need to act now.

https://www.fin24.com/Economy/Labour/land-reform-who-are-the-right-beneficiaries-20181207

Who should be the rightful beneficiaries of land reform came under the spotlight during a dialogue called by the presidential panel on land reform on Friday.

The panel has proposed various beneficiary categories, ranging from subsistence farmers to farm dwellers, as well as small to large scale commercial farmers, as some of the beneficiary groups.

It further states that at least 50% of the beneficiaries must be women, with 30% of the budget spend on farm workers.

Small scale farmers who have been farming for subsistence purposes and selling their produce at local markets would also be considered.

What budget ? They are getting land free, so why is there a budget ?

Will they have enough votes to pass this without the EFF ?
