National Health Laboratory Service hacked, shuts down IT systems

This team is working around the clock to determine the scope of the intrusion and deploy the required safeguards to secure our systems and data,” she said.

Dont worry, our New Improved GNU will fixed this.

Do South African organisations take issue of cyber security very serious or it's a tick box exercise?
Government: 99% dont, source: articles on mybb over the years
Public Sector companies: 50/50, not all public sector conpanies had the honour of having an article on mybb.
Other public entities: case by case, just like private companies. This include education institutions etc. So really depends on leadership at the instituion.

And if this was a Private Institution they would already have been found guilty, paid a huge fine and been dragged through the thorn bush backwards.

As this is government nothing is wrong because they don't have to comply to POPI.

"Save me from myself" is what's written in her face with huge amounts of IQ
