Affordable 1Gbps broadband for every household in South Africa

An ambitious government infrastructure plan aims for every household to have access to affordable 1Gbps broadband Internet by the 2025/2026 fiscal year.

The strategic objective is part of Phase 2 of the Department of Public Works National Infrastructure Plan (NIP) 2050, which was recently published for public comment.

The average person in South Africa is not tech savvy enough.

Solve basic issues like working electricity, water, sanitation, public transport, etc and see how people will thrive.

I swear the ministers in government must regularly go for cocoa cleansing ceremonies/Ayahuasca trips/tiben sound bowl experiences/etc with all the pie in the sky ideas and timelines they come up with

Is this a South African thing or an ANC/Government thing? Shiny new empty promises without fulfilling the previous promise.
