Dlamini-Zuma releases Eskom load-shedding state of disaster regulations

Cooperative governance minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma gazetted regulations for South Africa’s national state of disaster over the energy crisis.

The regulations designate “critical electronic communications and broadcasting infrastructure” as essential. It allows cabinet ministers to grant load-shedding exemptions for this essential infrastructure.

"Essentially, these regulations appear to pave the way for quick-and-dirty repairs to Kusile power station"

We're going to kill some of you, but think about the votas.

This is like declaring lights, router, PC, geysers, stove etc. in your house all essentials and exempt... but then you have to switch off some of the DB switches or the whole commie fckup goes down.

Look on the bright side - at least it's not a nuclear deal...

But still. They'll corrupt this just to enrich themselves all the more.

Don't give these fsckers ideas... this SoD enables them to fast track those approvals as well.

One can hope all the court challenges to this SoD happen fscking fast and the courts actually have a backbone and kick it to the curb like it should be.... *Ends pie-in-the-sky dreaming*
