NaTIS Drivers License Renewal 0 Slots Available

Using NaTIS https://online.natis.gov.za is mandatory to book a slot before going to DLTC to renew Drivers License.

For the past week (I am sure longer for most people on hellopeter https://www.hellopeter.com/national-traffic-information-system-and-department) there have been 0 slots available.

I have waited for slots to renew during the specified times mentioned on the website to check for availability which is 08h00 in the morning and there is never an open slot.

I asked at the DLTC and a very "arrogant" gentlemen said there are slots available during those hours, yet I am not the only one struggling to book a slot. I even asked the manager. She only told me to book a slot yet there is no guarantee for months that one will be able to book a slot.

The original concept was a private company, they did it for the Centurion branch and it worked perfectly... Then government decided that they now want to do it, forced the guys to close up shop and made the **** up we now have.
 
It took me a long time to find a slot. You basically need to check from very early on in the day, midday etc. until you get lucky.
 
Its a joke.

When I booked for my licence last year I didn't even get seen to in the allocated time slot. The only benefit was I avoided the queue but still had to sit and wait with everyone else that had booked. I was eventually seen to about two hours after the time I had booked.

When my dad went earlier this year it was even better. He booked his time slot but when he got there, the woman who was processing those that had booked said she was ''stressed'' by the amount of people and so she disappeared for about 30 minutes, leaving everybody to stand there.
 
I tried again and I managed to get a booking at Kempton Park there were 5 slots available for the 2nd of October :) Wow thank you everyone. I really appreciate the advice!
 
I got my slot today (COSATU strike! Day) in Boksburg (of all places)...but does anyone know if these DLTC are open today? I do not want to drive over 80km just to find out it is closed.
I will call them (if they are going to respond to calls that it) after 9am (when they open) and check.

I need urgent help too. My license expired in May. I actually had a slot booked a week or so before lockdown to renew well in advance. But when I went their system was down and I sat there for 3 hours waiting for nothing as they did not come back online that day and everyone was eventually told to go home.

So for the past two months I have been checking for another spot online but anytime I check there are 0 slots available everywhere. And trust me I check often. And even if I get a spot where is the guarantee that they won't be offline again?

I am sure they have a huge backlog by now and will not catch up by end of January when all licenses now expire.

You should just have gone back the next day.
 
It is a semi farce, driver license schools have access to enatis and book slots for a fee...
 
In Cape Town you just turn up. Fish Hoek is a quiet station. 30 mins in and out

I did not go..they just did not pick up the phone. EIsh
 
I tried using the system to make a booking and all I get is this message. I Guess my fines don't exist either. Oh well, I save on TP then.

Now this is fascinating. I checked my status--seems they have issued it and ready for me to collect?? but where?? Strange. Anyone else query their status?
