Navasolar Trolley Inverters

Good evening guys I just bought a navasolar 3kw trolley inverter and straight out the box after turning it on and plugging it in it immediately trips my mains. What could be the problem? Does it sound like a faulty unit?

@Tech Guy SA do you perhaps have any information on the models that don't allow users to change any settings?
gonna find out for you guys
Nothing silly about it. What's the big secret? It's not as if I can go get one.

What does Takealot have to do with this?
Look no one will openly discuss costs to consumers. You cant go hey pick n pay how much you paying for white bread then go to sasco and ask hey how much does it cost you to make it hey farmer how much does it cost you to grow it.

Maybe the farmer might tell you but he wont tell you how much he sells it to Sasco and sasco wont tell you how much they sell it to PNP and PNP wont tell you what they pay either.

its normal not secret actually me being funny about that cause its such a question one will never reply yet i did.
Takealot was an example much like the above so that i can explain my sentence with some relation to understanding.

but ill give you an idea on most of us that sell tech but i wont cause this thread is not about this subject and again you will ask a question that wont get answered.

Thank you for the swift response. Nothing is plugged in it's the first time I'm using it i just wanted to get it set up for when the time comes. I bought it brand new from takealot. Will have to try a different plug point in the morning as everyone is vegging

Did you follow these steps?

1. Breaker should be up/on
2. Switch inverter on.
3. Plug in kettle cord to mains (mains switched off).
4. Plug kettle cord into trolley.
5. Switch on mains.
6. Troĺley should show it's charging.
7. Charge for at least 4 hours (from user experiences posted). For the 3KW unit this can take up to 6 hours.
8. Plug devices into trolley which you want to power.

I can tell you how much I make per sheep. How much I sell it for to the slaughter house. Prices are available for all to see.

Wheat as well.

lol see farmers might XD
if you legit sell meat send me a DM

I'd try another plug point and see if it trips the mains with that one to. If it does it's most likely a faulty unit.
also he should try if he has another power cable just in case could be something silly like the cable may be damaged causing it to short and hence trip the mains cause something is tripping it

personally mains trip from shorts / pulls more than the main can handle / bad wireing (Degrade or damaged)
although its a IEC C20

They pull a lot of Amps compared to normal kettle plugs. Assuming you got the Ti3024 or 3052 model
so if you another cable like this try it (dont buy one they not cheap)

I got the Nv-bp18-3024 I'll try another plug point or take it to a mates house and try it there

My cable is plugged into another adapter that goes to a trip connect, basically a kettle cord.

I did that simply because I didn't want to cut this cord's plug off, and I didn't want to cut the trip connect either. So I made an adapter with a C13 socket, and an extension lead plug socket.

Those C19 cables are not cheap, although I've seen them in drawers at work, presumably extra unused cables, or because the equipment was directly wired, or whatever.

I should see if I could find some haha.

I recently bought a NV-TI-3052 inverter, and going through the manual, I see there is a remote monitoring capability. Has anyone been able to successfully set this up?
Attaching image for reference.

None of the resellers seem to be able to provide any kind of support

Hey there guys,

I recently purchased one of the new models navasolar NV-TI-1512 (I previously owned the older 960wh version)

My question is, is it normal for the fan to run 100% of the time? On the older version, it would only run when in battery mode/charging.

This is a problem for most people with this model.

Let's see if @Tech Guy SA has any feedback, or any idea who the qualified support staff if that can assist.

I received my TI-3052 3kW/5.12kWh trolley inverter on Friday and the fans have been running constantly - never switching off. So it seems to be a thing with the new units. Previous units allowed for menu access to change settings but this new one does not allow you to access the menu at all.

I understand the fans kicking in when the unit is charging the battery and/or supplying a load - but continuous running of the fans seems unnecessary in my opinion - surely that will shorten the lifespan of the fans?

I was about to pull the trigger on one of these trolleys but I don't want to deal with this permanent fan running issue 😬
