Well I have the unfortunate task of having to sell my camera equipment due to my poor little Daschunds bad back and him needing an MRI and an op.

Can you guys give me an idea of what I can expect for the following?

Canon 50D in excellent condition with original box and accessories
Sigma 24-70 F2.8 non HSM, Macro, lens only with caps and hood
Sigma 100-300 F4 HSM DG EX APO, hood and end caps with no box
Canon speedlite 430 EX older version not the II
Canon cable release for 50D

It's a sad day indeed for me and my poor beloved Daschund:(

Have a look at the Outdoorphoto classifieds to get an idea of resale value. Maybe Kaz camera can give you a price?
Being Canon I don't expect you'll get much
Hope the pooch gets well.

Don't sell to a camera shop - you'll get far less than you can get on a private sale.

I would guess conservative values are (if you sell them individually):

Canon 50D - R6000
Sigma 24-70 F2.8 - R4500
Sigma 100-300 F4 HSM DG EX APO - R6000
Canon speedlite 430 EX - R1400
Canon cable release - R100

As a bundle about R15000

BTW it is a great kit that you have.

Thanks guys, my poor little Daschund has been operated on and the vet reckons it looks good. He is a bit depressed this morning and not eating which is probably because of the pain.

R11880.00 later and hopefully he recovers properly.

Advice to anyone with a Daschund, take out pet insurance in case this happens to you. We didn't think it would happen as our little one is a miniature and is shorter than usual.

Tastic is at home now and chilling in his basket. Pilot, my Jack Russel, has noticed a problem and is leaving him alone.
