Hi guys.

My old man is moving into a new office and wants a PABX system.

He wants an ADSL line and 2 voice lines, so if someone makes a call going out, calls can still come in, and if someone is on a call someone else in the office can call out.

He wants 4 extensions on top of the main Switchboard.

I've received a quote from Telkom Business and a Quote from DirectTel.

Please can you guys give me any guidance - as I am not sure where to go with this.

The reality is that a PBX is not really needed, for small businesses and 4 extensions is small, a hosted solution is the way to go and does not require the capital outlay of a PBX.
I would always suggest this for systems under 20 users.

If you PM your details i will gladly assist you with more information.

Hi There,
I agree with paulcolmer. Outsource it to a hosted solution. The purchase of the equipment is a capital outlay best avoided and a hosted solution can be up and running in a matter of hours.

There are a number of organisations that offer excellent service in this regard.

Regards

Tim
