- Laptop OS XP SP3 10/100mbit onboard
- 2x Laptop's Win7 10/100mbit onboard & WiFi
- PC OS Debian / Ubuntu 10/100mbit onboard

share the hspda or adsl connection in your Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
to do this just right click on the dial up connection and go to properties sharing and select the details there

then set all the computers to obtain IP automatically all the computers will need to be connected together using the dlink switch.
also you can connect a laptop to the switch with a Cat5 cable then bridge the wireless and the nic together, set the wirless card to act as a peer2peer and not ad-hoc and now the laptop will be able to connect through wireless to the internet

if you need a bit more in-depth explanation i dont mind giving one then you will just need to give me some time :D

You get HSDPA routers with ports & wireless. they are avail from your main cell providers, but there are also very good ones for sale where all you then need is the sim to fit internally. This then works the same as a normal ADSL router. Obviously just remember that if 3G down, then there will be no net.

*edit*

PS you also get routers that can run either 3G or ADSL, this might be worth so that when/if ADSL has been sorted both options would be avail. IE swop between each when one is not avail. Also then ADSL router wont have to be bought at a further expense at a later stage

best then is to set it up on one pc & to share it via a net work. Best to do then is to set the 3G up on the pc/laptop that will always stay, otherwise if it is moved away the others wont have net, til it's back

Well its done, all working with Win7 pc's, will do Xp & Debian after lunch.
Btw, how do i balance bandwidth between pc's/ laptops connected to internet?
After testing, main pc pull all bandwidth & releases only when download completed to other pc's.

You'll need to set up a proxy for that. Like squid.
