Mate of mine is trying to unlock a Huawei P9 Lite but does not have the PIN. Is there a way to unlock / hack the phone without losing any of the data on the phone?

History. His finacee past away recently and he needs to access the phone. Even with a copy of the death certificate Huawei said that they could not help. Also tried IFix with no luck.

Any suggestions?

Don't think there will be. If he does get it unlocked, upload to YouTube, activate adsense, and make a lot of money.

Does the late fiance have a laptop or desktop PC to which he has access? If he does, the person might still be logged into their Google account. You get where I'm going with this...

If the person has access to the deceased's Google Account, it would help...

Most people save gmail passwords on Google chrome or similar browsers on desktop. Once u have access to her gmail account, its easy

You can retrieve most passwords if the google account was ever used on a PC/laptop, but going to the chrome settings and retrieving the password.
You will need the Windows login username and password for that PC, and perhaps the login pin.
Unfortunately it will only work if "autofill" was used on the PC.
