How exactly can they "legally"clear your name if you still owe more than R600?

On past experience: I worked with an oke a year or so back at a dealership. All of us started to become suspicious when it became obvious that 90% of his phone calls had him pacing around nervously outside, jabbering away, cigarette clutched in-hand.

One sunny day he came down with something & wasn't at work. The amount of horrors crawling out of the woodwork that day, without him there to take his calls, was quite incredible. Seems he offered the same 'service' to, shall we say, the less prudent of our clients. He pocketed a good R25k before the proverbial hit the fan.

Incredible how easily people will part with a bit of money in an attempt to skip a legitimate debt.

And i bet the dealership spread the word about him and he will now battle to find a job at dealership anywhere nearby, and if any of his "clients" had a clue they would have opened a case against him, which makes his life even more difficult.
