So, I got my 10Mbps LTE installed on Friday. So happy to to have a nice fast internet connection.
Signal seems to be good as well.
RSSi: best:62 worst 66
RSRP: - 90
RSRQ: -7.0

Neotel Speed test I get 9.8Mbps down and 3.8Mbps up
Other Speed tests I get 9.9Mbps down and 3.3Mbps up
Ping to JHB Server between 15ms to 22ms
UK Ping 190ms to 210ms

I've been running lots of tests and doing lots of downloads and gaming, most of the time it is just fine but now and again it just looses connection. This is where I need some help if anyone has seen this before.
I'll be busy downloading or playing or just browsing when it looses connection. I can still log into the router. Signal is still good, max -66 RSSI but I just cannot ping anything or browse or anything for about 30 seconds to a minute. Last night I had to restart the router.This happens maybe once or twice a day. It could probably be a faulty router but is there anything else I can look at?

Your RSRP isnt that good. Try manually reaiming the antenna. You can follow the same procedure I outlined in the 4meg LTE thread. -80dBmA is about what you should be aiming for :)

Hi Chris

Are you still having the connection dropping problem. I just got neotel and having the same problem and with no help from neotel. Seems to happen when i use the internet at a 100%

Hi, they took away my huawei LTE router and installed an ATEL lte router/antenna. Much better now, signal is way better and do not get any more connection problems.

Please post if you manage to get yours swapped for an ATEL unit. I am experiencing the same issue with the Huawei B593 and I'm pushing for a different unit, but I'm finding communication with Neotel to be extremely frustrating.

Ile reply back they should come today to see for themselves, i fought alot just to get this meeting asking to speek to supervisors seems to do the trick. Because he wanted me to ping google but like i told him it drops every couple hours or sometimes minutes. But ile show them this thread aswell.

I had the exact same thing, it's incredibly frustrating to get proper support. I've been sending emails and calling, but I will have to start making more of a fuss.

Hi they came today but had no power i will give feedback as soon as its installed.

oh WOW ... i could totally DO for 10 megabits uncapped NEOTEL LTE!! i would be watching SO MANY SteamCommunity Broadcasts.

They installed it and it hasn't droped once since. Starting to actually enjoy my internet

Hi Guys, I would also like to check signal in my area. Checked coverage on neotel's crappy tool and seems im out but if you guys have some more detailed maps please assist?

Got it installed today no power again will give feedback on monday, any luck your side?

I managed to get someone to come out last week and he determined that the installers pointed the antenna in the wrong direction. They finally came by yesterday to just change the direction of the external antenna. It's now pointing at a different tower altogether. Apparently it was a contention issue that was causing my problems. I didn't have any disconnects yesterday and the connection seems snappier than before , so maybe that solved it. I'm keeping an eye on it though.

So we've been having a few hiccups over the last few weeks.... Not super impressed.
All tests done with only me plugged into the out-door modem with nothing else using network - checked using networx

Hi Agentfr,

In my opinion, the Quality of your signal is not the best. RSRQ should range between -3 to -10 dB. You are on the upper limits. If you are serviced my multiplr towers, try re-aiming to another. Less signal strangth with better quality & Signal to Noise Ratio (SINR) may just give you better speeds.

I suffer from the same symptoms (sometimes full speed sometimes 1/2), as i have low signal & low quality (-11 to -13)!, due to the view to the tower (no LOS) being cluttered with big trees.

Yeah I've tried pointing it all different directions. This direction is where it has the best RSRP and RSRQ

Anyway, I had a testmy.net going today:

This happens to me too, the only way to solve it for me is to restart the router... Going to talk to Neotel about this, have you heard anything or been able to solve your problem? Please let me know
