We are running Neotel fibre for 7 years now 50Mb/s 1:1 ratio

PROS:
It took them 2 weeks to dig and trench and have us up and running.
London ping 4ms reply, America 7ms reply.
Support Desk Engineers are well trained and competent, resolves issue quick.
We have 6 down times in the last 7 years. All cable breaks with contractors, longest wait before being back up and running was 5 hours.

CONS:
Useless after sales support from account managers.
Pricing for the line has not been dropped since signing up even thou our contract was a 2year.
Looks like their value proposition is that they have managed to break the speed of light :erm:

That merger seems to be breaking known scientific principles.

Faster-than-light (also superluminal or FTL) communication and travel refer to the propagation of information or matter faster than the speed of light. The special theory of relativity implies that only particles with zero rest mass may travel at the speed of light. Tachyons, particles whose speed exceeds that of light, have been hypothesized but the existence of such particles would violate causality and the consensus of physicists is that such particles cannot exist.

Guys, I'm talking about a straight forward command prompt ping to a service hosted in one of those countries.

Bull****. The ping via WACS is about 140-150ms on its own. USA will be a minimum of 210ms.
That's the international cables.

And anything less than 150ms is physically impossible so then they are doing some fscked up routing and you need to call them on fscking with your traffic

That ping is so good you would have to live in the uk and the usa at the same time that's how good it is.
