May not like Neotel, but this is pretty awesome. I was always wondering why ISPs don't route traffic destined for China/Japan/Australia ect via SAFE which makes the distance considerably shorter.

The article sadly doesn't state which cable they use to shorten the distance to Brazil?
Shortest route for this would be SAex, but this cable is estimated to only go live Q1 2015,
or SAcs going live Q2 2015 but that cable lands in Angola so they will 1st need backhaul to Angola to get to that cable.
Do they use Antlantis-2? This cable is connected to Portugal and Brazil, where SAT3 pretty much ends.

I am well impressed with Neotel. I recently moved into a complex and there was no ADSL coverage. So, I signed up and am now sitting with a symmetrical connection. 2mb up, 2mb down with a 40ms ping!
