Need some advice.

I got the 4mb neobroadband in January 2015. Service was great and got great speeds till about 6 weeks ago. During the day I now get 1.5mb and speeds are usually back at 3.8mb after 6pm.

I called Neotel and they asked me to do speedtest at various times of the day and email it to their support centre.
They replied as follows:

Kindly be advised as per our LTE department the speed that you are getting is acceptable.

Please be advised Neotel device are a best effort service, meaning that the speeds are determined by the network traffic.

Please revert back to us should you still have any queries.

Case Closed.

Does this sound acceptable/reasonable?

This means I am paying R999.00 a month for a line that runs at 1.5mb half the time.
