Positive

any news about Hellkom competition can only be good news. even if it only means that the brains trust at Telkom opens there eyes for even a second.

Telkom service does still not exist so theoretically they are on the same level as Neotel. Telkom also talks about all there wonderful services, but i dont think any actually exist.

The DA connection is down for 3 days. It takes them at least 30 mins to answer a call reporting a diginet failure. and there recorded voice even proudly says it will be 20 mins until your call is answered.

Then they take another few days to repair the fault.

Hows that for service???

I hope NeeTel does read this.

What is NeeTel's xDSL strategy? - I'm sick & tired of hearing about CDMA2000, I want a viable ADSL2+ alternative that costs considerably less than Telkodemonopolies' HomeDSL313.6kbits/s, and I don't want to have to wait until 2011+10 for LLU to happen in my area, NeeTel can simply lay its own fibre optic IPConnect links and start doing ADSL in the same way that IS & Verizon Business currently do.

I would like NeeTel to know that I think NeeTel is currently still hopping about on only one leg and hasn't developed any toes nor arms nor torso nor head as yet.

I hope they will go for VDSL2 (50Mb/s) from the start. At least they will then be able to provide true triple play services from day 1.

Wireless of any sort is no answer to latency sensitive applications. From what I read of other WiMax trials, it latency seems a problem, therefore no answer for me. No fixed line broadband service = no sale. Simple as that.
