Hay further pointed out that the company is not planning to launch loose standing services, typically only voice or only Internet access. Neotel is rather looking at truly converged services, bundling voice, data and/or Internet services.

Sounds alot like Telkom. Bundling services so you have to pay for things you don't want or need. What a load of.....

Could MyBroadband please ask NeoTel to refrain from submitting empty PR schlock until they have a product Joe Public can use.

Sigh... WHEN WHEN WHEN???

Again, a YEAR!!! later we hear these beautiful promises with NO, absolutely NO real information.
Nothing about WHEN, nothing about WHAT, nothing about HOW MUCH....

Come on dude, rolling out a national network is a very hard job.

Give tham a chance. :p

Its a very hard job to be optimistic in South Africa after all the BS promises we've been spoon fed.

So quite honestly, i don't care if its a hard job, they must hurry up and get done!.

The company’s initial focus will be on the major metropolitan areas, and consumers and SMMEs – who reside in Gauteng, Cape Town or Durban. People who are interested in joining the Neotel trial are invited to visit the Neotel website and sign up for this service.

This is mileading, they do not have a trial in Cape Town :( :( :(

Good Day ****

Thank you for your interest in Neotel. We are currently limiting our trials in Johannesburg and Pretoria, in order to ensure that we can focus on ensuring that the service offerings are aligned to the customer’s requirements. Nevertheless, our initial commercial services roll-out (scheduled for immediately after the completion of the current pilot) includes Cape Town. We have noted your contact details in our database and will be happy to keep you informed as and when we are closer to rolling out services in Cape Town.

We look forward to your continued support and patronage,

Regards

I am a "corporate" customer. Have not heard a single thing from these bunch of clowns - Amazing how they are staying "focused on the consumer", but without having any consumers.

Sounds like Telkom's "consumer-centric" approach, and Mbeki's "quiet (and fruitless) diplomacy".
