How the heck can Amazon Prime have so many titles, did they buy the Disney catalog?

If Sa Netflix is that close to the US one then that's not bad, the total amount seems a bit low though.

I think that includes the non-amazon prime stuff.. you can rent or buy bstuff from HBO through prime for example..

No, some HBO and other streaming service series are included in US amazon prime , rental and buying is called instant video so it’s not included in prime count

So you have Amazon Prime US? With over 20k titles? In South Africa? Pfffft, GTFOutta heer!
I haven't counted.

I'm rewatching Fringe on FreeDive, their ad-supported channel, at the moment. Not sure if FreeDive figures also count towards Amazon's.

They include "local content" (aka carp) in the SA stats. That is not included in the US stats.

Also, how is 7K "that close" to 20K? It's almost a third. Take out the "local is lekker" and it's probably more like a quarter.
Read the op again, carefully.

Netflix US has more and newer series than the SA one . Netflix SA has older movies with better ratings . Netflix US has newer movies than Netflix SA .

Also Netflix US is more up to date with seasons than SA but each series will be counted as one and it’s not counted per season that’s why it may seem that they have almost the same amount of titles but they will be a season behind.

Hope this makes sense.

Didn't want to create a new thread.

How awesome is the Amazon Video Android app?

Was using it last night and was enjoying the feature where it links each actors profile as they appear on the screen with relevant trivia as well. Pretty distracting though as you find yourself calling up the menu all the time :)

Is it available on Android TV yet?
