Netflix and DNS or VPN

Hi,

Whats the best way to go about this other than a VPN service or a DNS service like Unotelly - both which appear to be paid for.

Are there any good free DNS providers that work with Netflix or free VPN services like http://www.vpnbook.com/ that are viable?

I obviously wouldn't use a free VPN for anything critical or anything that has banking details attached.

Your thoughts?

Thanks,
J

With something like this you want it to be reliable.

Rather just pay the $7 per month.... thats like R60, its worth it in the end and they provide support.

Most people here are using unotelly and its really good.

So it seems tunlr.com does the same thing as Unotelly and its free.

Just tested it and it works fine for the registration process - didn't try and watch but i'll do that when I get home.

Also - how many simultaneous Netflix connections are allowed - can my GF and I watch diff items if we have more than 1 TV? Is it tied to logins or IP? How many concurrent sessions are allowed?

Here's a little secret:

The free Unotelly trial keeps working as long as you don't access the netflix site directly (or have to for any reason) and accessing it through the Xbox app.

They provide a URL with an API you can use to update your IP address without logging in. I just bookmarked that, setup my Xbox, and enjoyed about 2 months worth of free unotelly, until I said "****it, I'll just pay them the monthly fee"

I hope this works... after the 7th I'll know.

From Netflix help:
"Once you have an active Netflix membership, you can have 6 devices registered to your account at any given time, and you may stream up to two (2) movies or TV shows at the same time."

I'm kind of dissapointed with Netflix atm, it's awesome for finding new series to watch and not having to download it first etc, but there's some movies on there I wanted to watch and when I get round to it, they took it off :/

Netflix definitely isn't a silver bullet solution, but it sure as hell beats hoping Monochoice broadcasts something you're remotely interested in.

I've not the inclination, energy or storage space to commit to news servers and torrents, and this way at least someone's getting some money for what I watch.

Ta.

I saw that but it doesn't mention multiple IP's e.g. can I use my account at her house and at home?

Alternatively try tunlr.com - just remember to not use any private details whilst on their DNS e.g. Facebook / banking / Gmail - you don't need your details harvested...

I'm pretty sure it's gonna bitch at you if you attempt to stream to 2 different IPs simultaneously.

I've done all these things, but I can't get past the payment screen on Netflix. Tried 2 MasterCards that it says are invalid, and they do not accept payments from "non-US based PayPal accounts".

:(

Any way around this?
