Bad news for DStv as Netflix bets big on live-streamed events — R95-billion big

Netflix Inc. has acquired the exclusive rights to Raw as well as other programming from World Wrestling Entertainment, marking the streaming service’s first big move into live events.

The streaming giant has agreed to pay $5 billion over the course of the 10-year deal, according to people familiar with the terms who asked to not be identified because the numbers aren’t public.

Wow. I cannot believ. People watch this kak.
I used to watch this stuff on eTV before school each morning. Seeing steroid-swallowing bodybuilders slapping each other and pretending very poorly that they were real punches was better than any comedy special

Also every now and again when they showed you an audience member and you thought to yourself "some of these people actually think this is real". Always made my morning.
