Netflix wants to stop password sharing

If you watch the same show 4 times in a day on different IP's then they will probably think the password is shared. Don't do that.

so like children who like watching the same shows over and over until their eyes bleed

Netflix wants to stop password sharing

Netflix is working on plans to stop subscribers from sharing their account passwords, Independent reports.

During a quarterly earnings call, Netflix product chief Greg Peters was asked about the company’s view on the issue.
It's pretty simple to be honest, don't limit the passwords but limit devices as the Dstv app has done! They're smart enough with huge amounts of resources tobe able to make it happen.

So their current T&C's says your account is for "personal and non-commercial use only and may not be shared with individuals beyond your household"

Are people so cheapskate that they can't pay for their own account? Dear lord, seems everyone wants everything for free as always.

This is the country of "mahala" just check all the illegal electricity connections in this Utopia. For starters.

However they decide to roll, if they piss me off, I cancel, dig out my trusty Rasberry Pi, with 2x 256 Gig USB sticks attached, and make good use of the currently worthless night time data, our mobile service providers are so beloved of including in their packages.

Somehow I don't think South Africa is their biggest concern

South Africa is not o their radar, they make a straight jacket to fit America, then try force the rest of the world to wear it. Cheaper that way.

One size fits all, because, you are all a bunch of Twats ... , that their outlook.

4 connections or four devices or 4 passwords are all equivalent - as they use the same amount of data and resources - regardless.

Whether 1 device is in Capetown with my Son, one in Centurion in Pretoria, one at home, and the remaining one with me wherever I might be that particular day, also changes nothing as per above.

If I happen to touch down in Zambia or Kenya on a particular day, there is a VPN, back home. Still, does not change anything with regards to them delivering a service. Except they see it as loosing a potential customer. Greed rules.

Maybe they'll force you to register devices like showmax. Not that it'll solve the problem but it'll still suck.

That's a sucky idea. I use Netflix on my phone, tablet, computer, and Roku... and that's just me. Add the wife and kids in to the equation and that's over a dozen different devices for the four of us and those devices are constantly changing.

Limit the number of streams and that's it.
