Industry sources have revealed that Netflix will arrive in South Africa much sooner than expected.

UnoTelly is still the way to go, as it lets you access all the Netflix content available across all regions. That's quite a bit more than any one region.

$8 x 15 is R120, if they give it a cushion for future depreciation, at R18 would give to R144, so either R139 or R149.

I think they may keep pricing market related. We already have showmax eating up market share at R99, so coming in at a higher price point with an imo limited library, they may make a dent based off reputation but people will wise up quickly.

Going to be increased to 10 usd (or has already not sure) . Add the need for a serious cushion and is got to be well over 150.

A lot will depend on whether ShowMax can catch up.

Well, amusingly, i'm watching all seasons of Doctor Who , X-Files , The Office and Parks & Recreation on Netflix ... i'm not seeing any of this on Showmax, so guess i'm sticking with Netflix for awhile.

Then of course the Netflix Exclusives , Daredevil, Better Call Saul , Luke Cage, House of Cards, Marco Polo will all have seasons in 2016...Showmax won't be able to touch that

I've heard they wanted to get Netflix going now in Dec but were delayed by hardware issues.
