Netgear 384G Orange Light Flashing

Friend of mine replace his old D-Link with Netgear 384G, so that rules out that there is something wrong with his line. Check all the settings with mine(have the same router) but orange lights keep flashing. Router console, under router status is says no connection. Tried reboot, reset...nothing. Plug in the old router, internet works. Sooooo this is dead router ?

sounds like it isn't sync'ing.

try another phone cable.

if it's a new dg834, duxbury would have supplied instructions on how to hook everything up, cos the filter etc needs to be connected in a specific way.

but any standard telephone wire from router straight to the wall should work fine.

lol, It was probably the way he hooked the filter up to the router and the line because those wires arent the standard straight through RJ11
