Hi,
I am trying to configure a Netgear DG814 router to connect to a corporate network via the Cisco VPN client.
Does anyone have any knowledge on how to do this? I suspect the process is similar irrespective of the actual brand of DSL router being used.
The scenario is this:
- There are a number of computers connected to the router, sharing a single external IP address, so NAT is "on".
- The Cisco VPN client connects to an external IP address of the Cisco VPN "Server"
- There is an option on the Cisco VPN software which allows me to specify "transparent tunneling" via UDP, or via TCP (in which case I have to specify a port number).
- The VPN client is not attempting to authenticate with a certificate, just a user name and password
- I have tried opening up all ports on the Netgear router with the server address of the Cisco firewall, but can't connect.
- I have tried connecting with both the UDP and with the TCP options, but can't connect.
I have a feeling I need to set up some additional port forwarding or static routes, but I have no idea what!
All help gratefully received!
Thanks
